YAMAHA YZF R6
TOP FEATURES OF
YZF-R6:
Light,
powerful and bristling with knowledge gained from years of racing, the YZF-R6
is the most advanced production 600 cc motorcycle Yamaha has ever built. The
YZF-R6 was the first production motorcycle with YCC-T ,Yamaha chip controlled
Throttle system for flawless response under all conditions. The YCC-T Yamaha
controlled system intake is used on the R6 to vary intake length for excellent
cylinder filling and a broad power band.
Back torque-limiting slipper type
clutch greatly facilitates Braking Downshifting from high speed. Close-ratio
6-speed transmission delivers seamless power and maximum acceleration. The fuel
injection mapping for the TCC-T Yamaha chip controlled Throttle dual-injection
system complements the high compression ratio for the great throttle response
and reduced engine braking.
GP-system Titanium muffler
contributes to mass centralization and contains EXUP for a broad power band ,
and 02 sensor for spot-on injection and emission compliances. Cool magnesium
Valve and engine covers are light and stylish. Direct-ignition coils,
dual-electrode spark plugs and high-output magneto deliver extremely accurate,
reliable firing.
Multi function digital and
analog instrumentation features, programmable shift light, digital speedometer,
analog tachometer, dual tripmetes, with miles on reserve function, odometer,
water temperature gauge and lights for neutral, high beam, low fuel and turn
signals.
The YZF-R6 was introduced in
1999nas the super sport version of Yamaha’s YZF-R1 super bike , and as a companion to the more
street oriented Yamaha YZF600R sport bike which continued to be sold along the
R6 . The motorcycle featured yamaha’s completely new engine design capable of
producing over 108 bhp while stationary . The R6 was the world’s first 600 cc
production for four stroke motorcycle producing over 100 bhp in Stock from. The
YZF-R6 has been revised several times since its introduction. Starting with the
2003 model when the R6 become fuel injected The 2006 Model year was a
significant upgrade with a new engine management system featuring the YCC-T
ride by wire Throttle and a multi plate slipper clutch . The 2008 model
incorporated the YCC-I variable length intake system to optimize power at high
engine rpm and an improved delta box frame design.
There is no secret that the
Yamaha YZF-R6 is considered by many of
the most capable middle weight bikes from the street and competes with
success against models like the Honda CBR600 or Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R. with the
2014 model year the YZF-R6 continues to keep its place among the best bike in
the 600cc class. Unfortunately there aren’t any major upgrade for the new model
, but this isn’t as dad as it sound , as the bike has all it needs to remain on
top of the food chain . with features such as chip-controlled intake and
throttle, dual fuel injectors per
cylinders and the state of the art slipper clutch ,the 2014 Yamaha YZF-R6 is
already to impress you with a unique riding experiences.
To be
able to offers top notch performance in terms of ride and handling , the
motorcycle also needs a set of spot-tuned suspension .Therefore both the front
and rear suspension . therefore both the front and rear suspension are a 4-way
adjustable with preload, high speed compression ratio low speed compression and
rebound damping. Power comes from Yamaha’s liquid cooled 599 cc, 4-cyclinder,
DOHC engine with 16 titanium valves. The Yamaha YZF-R6 will be launched in
showroom in October 2013 with a base price of 10,990 dollars.
